The Columbia Economics Review is proud to announce the Spring 2018 High School Essay Contest. The deadline for submissions is April 12th, 11:59 P.M. Submit all competition materials, including your essay, your name, and your school name to email@example.com.
In 500-600 words, propose a new law that you believe would economically benefit a country of your choice. Describe the details of the law as well as its economic pros and cons.
- Cash Prizes:
- 1st place: $300
- 2nd place: $200
- 3rd place: $100
In addition to receiving cash prizes, winning submissions will be published on our website and recognized in our print journal. Winners will be selected based on depth of research and analysis. Feel free to send in an optional supplement that you feel will add to your essay. Examples of a supplement, which is totally optional, include poems, videos, graphics, or art. We have no preference for essay structure or format. Winners will be announced online by April 30.
